Family-Owned in Willmar Since 1990
Who We Are
Kent's Auto Body has been a fixture on East Highway 12 since 1990. What started as a small family shop run by Kent and Renae has grown into Willmar's go-to collision and glass repair facility — but the ethic hasn't changed. Our technicians are industry-trained and certified, our front office knows most customers by name, and every repair we complete is held to original factory specifications and backed by a written, limited-lifetime warranty. That's the Kent's way.

What Our Customers Say
Real reviews from Willmar drivers we've helped get back on the road.
Patty was absolutely amazing in helping me get back on the road after I hit a deer while traveling through the area. She worked hard to not only secure alternate transportation for me just in case, but also had my vehicle evaluated for roadworthiness so I could get home to have it repaired locally. Her efforts were above and beyond during one of my worst days. This company's kindness, generosity, and grace will not soon be forgotten.

6 months agoI'm using Kent's every time!! They did an awesome job with repairs and a super job buffing the car out. Looks like new! 20 year-old car!
Did an amazing job on my Honda Accord. Can't even tell it was ever dented! Left it looking brand new — would 100% recommend.
Special thanks to Tom! We were dealing with a hit-and-run on our new truck, and the other insurance company wanted us to accept aftermarket parts — Tom helped us navigate the whole process without a hitch. Always the BEST work!

Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about collision repair, auto body work, insurance, and the repair process.
Yes. The Minnesota Fair Claims Practices Act states that you have the right to choose the auto body shop that repairs your vehicle. Kent's Auto Body & Glass works with all insurance companies — our insurance collision repair process returns your vehicle to pre-accident condition.
Our auto body shop is based in Willmar, Minnesota, and we serve Kandiyohi County and the surrounding west-central Minnesota area — including Spicer, New London, Atwater, Kandiyohi, Benson, Litchfield, Hutchinson, Olivia, Granite Falls, Montevideo, Eden Valley, Paynesville, and nearby communities. For non-drivable vehicles, we can arrange towing to our shop from anywhere in the region.
Our auto body shop accommodates non-drivable vehicles with immediate service — if your vehicle isn't drivable, unsafe, or street legal, we can tow it right away. Collision repair begins as soon as we have customer or insurance approval and parts. If your vehicle is drivable, drop in any time Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, or Saturday by appointment. No appointment is needed for consultations during regular hours.
Yes. If your vehicle isn't drivable, unsafe, or street legal after a collision, we can tow it to our Willmar shop immediately — so you're not left stranded on the side of the road. Just give us a call at (320) 235-1663 and we'll coordinate a tow and get your collision repair started.
Yes. We offer courtesy loaner transportation so you're not without a vehicle while yours is in the shop for collision, paint, or auto glass work. Availability depends on our loaner fleet — let us know when you schedule your repair and we'll work out the details.
No appointment is needed — we offer free consultations on collision repair, auto body repair, auto glass, and paint work. Stop by anytime Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, or Saturday by appointment only.
Allow approximately 15 minutes for a standard collision repair consultation. If there's substantial damage or you have an unusual vehicle (like a specialty sports car), it may take up to 30 minutes to inspect your vehicle and write the estimate.
When we receive your vehicle, we photograph the damage, then tear down the damaged area(s) and write our estimate. We'll call you with a preliminary estimate amount before any body repair work moves forward.
Yes — we are experts in unibody and full-frame repair. Our frame work uses the finest measuring technology, backed by experienced, qualified technicians who can get any vehicle straightened out.
Our computerized paint-mixing system matches colors from your vehicle's paint code for maximum accuracy. Our auto body painting process is among the most precise in the industry. On older vehicles, the sun's oxidation has changed the original paint over time — any difference you notice is simply new paint against older, oxidized paint, not a mismatch in the mix itself.
It depends on several factors: insurance approval, customer authorization, parts availability, the extent of repairs, and the number of procedures needed (frame measuring, alignment, tear down, general body repair, paint prep, painting, reassembly, detailing, and quality control). We'll give you a clear timeline after the initial inspection.
You can wash the vehicle immediately. We recommend using a mild car soap.
We recommend waiting 90 days after repair before the first wax.
The deductible is the owner's portion of the accident repair cost. The amount is determined at the time you took out your insurance policy.
An honest collision repair shop will always say "no." Your insurance policy is a contract between you and your insurance carrier: if you have a collision loss, you're responsible for the first portion of repairs (your deductible). Conspiring to "bury the deductible" is insurance fraud and against the law. Insurance appraisers know repair costs and cannot be fooled by inflated prices. Any auto body shop that agrees to bury the deductible has to cut corners — the customer gets a second-rate job that depreciates the vehicle's trade-in value. A shop that will cheat the insurance company will cheat the customer, too.
